Equanimity

Word for the day: Equanimity

Equanimity can be defined as “state of mental or emotional stability or composure arising from a deep awareness and acceptance of the present moment” (as stated in Wikipedia) or the state of  “evenness of mind especially under stress” (as defined in the Merriam-Webster online dictionary).

Today I am reminded of equanimity…remembering to find balance in whatever situation I am at in order to remain centered and focused, despite the things going on around me. Yes, bad weather (errr…it’s been raining all day long) really gets to me.

Tonight I am grateful

♥ to have been able to stay home, dry and safe from this rainy weather.

♥ for powdered mashed potatoes teeheeehee

♥ for the discovery of Christina Perri’s music

♥ for continued progress in my yoga poses and my practice in general

♥ that I was reminded of ahimsa, or kindness and non-violence….as a dear friend of mine always puts it, be kind to yourself, Tink…

Just A Random Solo Road Trip

For some reason today I had a stirring in me that led to an unplanned, out of the blue, random solo road trip that led me to a little Chapel on The Hill and well, it was such a perfect thing to do on this Black Saturday.

On the way home, I stopped by a coffee shop and just allowed myself to listen to my soul once again. And this is what came out of it:

a box of gratitude from a grateful soul

:)

My latest craft box project :) Now i have a home for my gratitude project 365 :) And yeah, I know I post them here, and on Facebook as well, but I do write them down as well. Not evey day but once a week, I note them down and put them in the box :)
