Dresser Clean Up

Last week, I had to put on make up for the first time in a LOOOOONG time. It was so funny because I could barely find anything to use. In fact, I had not one eyebrow pencil left! It was funny because before it used to be a normal part of my life. Anyway, I decided to clean up my dresser and found a whole bunch of old makeup that I decided was time to be thrown out.I even found some hair wax and samples of little things I don’t use because they’re for men. I don’t even know what those things were for, kinda like that firehouse moustache wax I came across recently! Har. In any case, now that my dresser is free, I wonder if I should refill it with some make up and prettifying materials, whatcha think???

Oh Wow :(

I was shocked to see this blog today…mainly because I haven’t touched it since February. That’s just…sad :(

I keep saying I will try to be more consistent, that I am turning a new leaf, that I am returning to blogging. I guess the truth of the matter is I cannot do that until I figure out how to manage my time better, right? And so I guess all I should really just say is I will come back to this when it is time. I also suppose there’s no need to blog on a daily basis?

On Daily Health Hazards

I was listening to the radio a few days ago and heard another discussion about how all these little giveaways and cheap tokens around are big health hazards. I think they were talking about random testing done before valentines day to check on the lead content and the like of these items. Again, tests showed (at least as I recall from the radio announcement) that many failed health standards. It’s sad that profit comes before health, right? This is why if I were to do tokens for my classes, for example, I will really try to get the safest and yet affordable products I can. For example, if I will order wholesale acrylic tumblers as a promotional item for my kids yoga classes, I will make sure they are BPA free, even if it means a few extra pesos spent. We live in a toxic enough world, we shouldn’t add more to it, yes?

I’m Getting Old!!!

Boo. I swear, I didn’t think it was real, but lately, I’ve been noticing it. What am I talking about? Well, I’m referring to how one’s eyesight just suddenly goes kaput overnight when you get older. Before I had no trouble reading or what not. Now, I have to pull my head back and take whatever it is I am reading far way from my eyes to be able to read it! GAAAAH. Pretty soon I’m gonna need reading glasses like those at www.eyesave.com!

Kids Yoga with Teacher Ria

Hey everyone! Inviting you all to join me for some yoga this 2013. I do private Vinyasa classes and starting January 12, I will be teaching Kids Yoga classes at Beyond Yoga Bonifacio High Street Central on Saturdays, and Beyond Yoga Quezon City branch on Sundays. Please check out www.igobeyondyoga.com for more details. The classes are open to kids from 7-12 years of age. So before deciding whether to get your kiddies a new swimsuit for the summer for swimming classes, or a wrestling singlet for kids MMA training, give yoga a try and see how this can be such a good complement to not just their extra curricular activities and sports, but even for their academic work. See you on the mat!

Thank You, 2012!

2010 brought me joy and taught me to open my heart to love

2011 brought me loss and taught me to be grateful no matter what

2012 brought me full circle and taught me to trust that all is coming and that everything happens for a reason.

i found abundance and countless opportunities

i began to understand what it means to show up, be present not just to the moment but to yourself, to appreciate the fine art of non-attachment.

i found what it meant to open to grace, knowing that even when you fall splat on your face or get your heart broken, it was exactly what you needed at that moment and for you are made more real and whole.

for all these i am grateful.

Pins and College Rings

Today I cleaned up my room (which seems to be the general theme of many posts I end up putting on this blog, yeah? har!) and came across my college pin. It brought back memories about the college ring that I had lost when I got into a car accident many years ago. Boo. I wish I could have a new one made. I was browsing online and saw a site that made military rings and I’m pretty sure they can make a replica of my old one, especially since I can’t reach the old jeweler. Then again, do I really need a new college ring?

Hmmm.Back to cleaning :)

The Sound of Music

Random question of the day…what brand offers the best headphones in the market? I once had one of those ginormous skull candy headsets and the sound was awesome but it was so big and bulky that it didn’t really suit my needs. I want something that offers the crisp sound quality that that set had, but minus the bulk and all that jazz, so to speak. Also, price is important to me so I hope there is one that is awesome in sound, but kind on the pocket. If you have suggestions, drop me a line :)

Call Me Maybe?

I couldn’t resist using this super earworm title for a blog post, hehe! I have been trying to think of a post that would suit that title and I finally found it! Now that I am a certified yoga teacher, I can begin teaching Kids and Vinyasa yoga classes.  I haven’t had time to have my business cards made though. In the meantime, I’m looking for software that can design business card online. Any suggestions? In the meantime, though, if you’re in the lookout for some yoga classes, do send me an email :) Contact details are in the about me page of my sites :)

Thoughts on Gratitude

Sometimes it’s so easy to be grateful.

Other days it’s almost impossible.

Today is one of those days.

Boo.

But yeah, I guess I have to be grateful for these kinds of days because they make me realize that no matter what happens, there’s always something better around the bend.
