For some reason today I had a stirring in me that led to an unplanned, out of the blue, random solo road trip that led me to a little Chapel on The Hill and well, it was such a perfect thing to do on this Black Saturday.
On the way home, I stopped by a coffee shop and just allowed myself to listen to my soul once again. And this is what came out of it:

My latest craft box project
Now i have a home for my gratitude project 365
And yeah, I know I post them here, and on Facebook as well, but I do write them down as well. Not evey day but once a week, I note them down and put them in the box

Today I am reminded of a song I heard in the Gesu church in the Ateneo. I was invited by a dear friend of mine to join her and her family for one of the simbang gabi masses, and it was such a wonderful gift to have received over the holiday season.
And so let me share with you this song and in my heart today I pray this:
Dearest Lord, teach me to be generous
Teach me to serve You as I should
To give and not to count the cost
To fight and not to heed the wounds
To toil and not to seek for rest
To labor and ask not for reward
Save that of knowing that I do Your most holy will
This was by far one of the more difficult days that has come my way for 2011. Strangely, though, from this pain and discomfort came an unexpected gift — that of gratitude. I guess that’s what necessary pains really are, huh? So today I have found the catalyst for what I hope is a Project 365 I can finally sustain…my gratitude journal.
So here goes…
Today I am grateful
♥ for the love I receive from people on and offline
♥ for my Bubba
♥ for my freedom and independence
♥ that I can move on even though I slip every now and then
♥ to be grateful.
